What is the secret to success?
During a first call with of my new clients, the conversation went like this:
Client: “What is the secret to success?”
Me: “Hard work and Integrity.”
Client: “I am not kidding.”
Me: “I am not either.”
Thomas Jefferson said, “I am a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work, the more I have of it.” Now I believe there is a recipe for success in anything you do and it’s not just luck or even hard work. I believe you start with a dream or passion, add in some knowledge and training, make a plan, work hard, alter your plan. Gauge your strengths and weakness while utilizing your strengths and cultivate your weakness. Gain more knowledge and surround yourself with others who can help you. Continue the plan and work hard.
I have never been one to sit and just let things happen. Your success is a direct result of your purposeful actions. Now there are always challenges. This entire last year has been a challenge. Many people have had roadblocks, failures, path changes, and even success. In a few years, we will look back and find that great things have come from these challenges. But for now, how can you alter your recipe and create something wonderful?
